  • Purchase or the Design and Build of a fit-for-purpose offshore police patrol vessel

Tenders will be invited for the purchase or design and build of a new vessel that meets the specifications and special needs requirements of Tasmania Police.  Key marine responsibilities of Tasmania Police include the protection of fisheries and maritime industries, marine safety enforcement, search and rescue and state security operations.  This vessel will be required to perform patrols in all coastal and offshore Tasmanian waters, including Bass Strait, up to 200 nautical miles from the coast, in extreme weather and sea conditions.
