Tenders will be invited for the development of a list of approved specialist care providers and their capacity, for use by Child Protection Services when a Specific Response Care Package is required. Specific Response Care Packages are developed to match a specific child’s extra-ordinary level of need for care, including therapeutic, medical, disability or similar supports. This specialised care type addresses the needs of children who require specific supports that are not available through one of the other care options. Provision of care may take place in either a specialised family based or residential care environment depending upon the needs of the child. This type of care is to provide services for children and young people with the most extreme level of need.
