This RFT seeks to establish a panel of qualified and experienced contractors to assist the department in decommissioning legacy radio network sites, with the goal of exiting or transferring these sites, thereby mitigating the State's risk exposure.

Additional Information

The specific approach to be adopted will vary from site to site. Tenderers engaged by the Principal to carry out the works may be required to demolish, remove, and dispose of legacy radio network infrastructure, as well as remediate and restore site locations. Detailed requirements for the works will be provided by the Principal prior to the commencement of any Works Contract, in accordance with the Contract.
The Principal's Requirements outline further details on the nature and types of work and activities that may be needed. However, the following provides an example of the types of works and activities that could be required:
Scenario Description Note to Tenderers
Partial Removal of Infrastructure Remove tower or hut as specified by a Works Contract May have to work around other services/infrastructure limiting impact to other sites users. This activity may require coordination with other site users.
There may be some “make good” requirements to be fulfilled – this will be specified in the Works Contract
Full Removal of Infrastructure Remove all infrastructure, tower, hut, roads as specified by a Works Contract There will be a “make good” requirement. Remediation activities will need to be undertaken to fulfil the “make good” requirement.
