The Department of Economic Development owns a number of properties, some of which are commercially leased. The Department wishes to re-tender the provision of it's preventative maintenance services that is managed by a consultant. In order to meet it's statutory obligations, in particular those arising under the Building Act 2000 (Tas), the Department wishes to review the current arrangements for the preventative maintenance program for it's owned assets. It is intended that a 24 x 7 single point of contact service will be established and that the maintenance contractor will be required to coordinate the services provided by other subcontractors. The contractor will also be required to demonstrate compliance with the owner's obligations under the above Act in company with the auditing consultant appointed by the Department.
