Additional Information
CARP BARRIER NET The Inland Fisheries Service has effectively used polyethylene net, as a barrier, to block European carp from accessing spawning sites in Lake Sorell. It is proposed to purchase enough net to block all of the marshes in Lakes Sorell and Crescent. A total of 13 kilometres of net is required to do this. This is broken into 7 kilometres being required for Lake Sorell and 6 kilometres for Lake Crescent. Tenderers are asked to supply tenders for the manufacture and supply of the net as per the specifications set out below and this should include all delivery costs to the Inland Fisheries Field Base at 22 Laycock Drive Lake Crescent. The tender is to be split into two sections and should be priced accordingly and marked: 1. “Lakes Sorell and Crescent - 13 kilometres of Barrier Net”. 2. “Lake Sorell Only - 7 kilometres of Barrier Net”. The tender should also state the earliest date that the net can be supplied. Barrier Net Specifications Polyethylene Net 380D/18 x 55mm x 2.53 meters deep Hung on the bar Single Knot Braided lead core base line @ 2 kilogram per metre Yellow BAO LONG BL-2 EVA (or equivalent) floats – 3 per metre The net is to be supplied in 250 metre lengths with connecting eyes on one end of the lead and buoy lines and tails on the other. Conditions: Late tenders will not be accepted. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
