The Tasmanian Health Service (THS) has engaged a provider of Rural Medical Services on a long term basis for St Helens, Flinders Island and Cape Barren Island.

In general terms, the services to be provided are:

  • Continuous medical service coverage;
  • Emergency medical care services for hospital patients only;
  • Inpatient care services;
  • Residential aged care services by referral from the THS (Flinders Island only); and
  • Limited scope radiography services for hospital patients only (Flinders Island only).
