Tasmania Police currently has a 6.3m Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) powered by twin 100hp four stroke outboards that requires replacement.  It is utilised for the protection of the State's marine resources; enforcement activities in both the commercial and recreational fishing sectors; enforcement of marine safety legislation; and provision of water-borne platforms for search and rescue, security and counter terrorist operations.
