The purpose of this Request for Tender (RFT) is for the Government to secure arrangements for the supply of public network access and carriage services from 27 March 2012, when existing arrangements expire. To achieve this objective, the Government is seeking to appoint one or more suppliers to deliver these services via POTS, ISDN and IP-based technologies. Because the Government is willing to contract with more than one supplier for these services, Tenderers are not required to offer all of the access technologies listed.

The Government is seeking an initial term of two years, with four options for the Government to renew for two year periods. However, the Government may consider a longer initial term. The Government’s current intention is that for each of the four technologies being sought (that is, ISDN, POTS, SIP and Inbound services), the Government would contract exclusively with a single supplier, for the duration of the agreed term. The Government intends to issue further Requests for Tender for other voice telephony and related services in the near future. The details of this notice have been ammended due to errors in the original details.
