Engagement of a Principal Contractor to deliver phase 2 of the Royal Hobart Hospital Emergency Department (ED) Expansion construction project.

At a high level this phase will involve:

  • Preparatory works on Argyle St and the J Block rear corridor
  • Refurbishment of the lower ground floor of the current ED
  • Creation of a Child Safe and separate Paediatrics ED
  • Refurbishment of an area in Level 3CD for the relocation of the Mental Health Short Stay; and
  • Creation of a new Fast-Track area on Level 3 J Block.
