Stadiums Tasmania, with the support of the Tasmanian Government, is seeking to redevelop the Silverdome in Launceston. 

The project is intended to improve the venue’s capacity to host events, namely NBL games (for the Tasmania JackJumpers), WNBL games, Suncorp Super Netball games and other community sports and cultural events.  

A budget of $12 million has been allocated for the Project, with a targeted practical completion date on or before February 2026. However, it is expected that certain elements of scope that do not require significant consultant input will be delivered on or before December 2025.
