As part of Stage 1 works, the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery (TMAG) requires the services of a Heritage Contractor to undertake timber repair works. The Contractor will liaise with the Heritage Architect as required. An additional scope to these works will be the desalination of the Bond Store and some basement hand excavation works.  All terms and conditions for these additional scopes will be the same as those provided with the Timber RFT.

The initial tender scope included repairs to the heritage floor and skirtings, and caulking of the existing floorboards in the Bond Store at TMAG. Mid tender an Addendum was issued to all parties (who downloaded the documents) and publically advertised on 11/6/11, requesting for any pricing of works to include desalination the Bond Store basement walls and hand excavation works in the lightwell. Due to program timing issues the final scope of the awarded contract covered only the desalination works in the Bond Store and excavation in the lightwell.
