The Motor Registry System (MRS) is a large and highly complex system that provides critical services for the Tasmanian Government, industry, and the community - and is reaching end-of-life. The Supplier must deliver a robust, comprehensive business case to Government on options to develop a new secure, contemporary system to meet evolving business requirements.

(1) An industry pre-tender briefing session about this RFT will be held as follows via MS Teams on Monday, 24 July 2023 at 9:30am (Hobart time). Persons who wish to attend the briefing session must pre-register with the Contact Officer on or before COB on Thursday, 20 July 2023 (Hobart time) via email to contractservices@stategrowth.tas.gov.au. Upon registering, attendees will be provided with a MS teams link. (2) Requirements for the business case will be similar to those set out in the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Structured Infrastructure Investment Review Process (SIIRP), available at: https://www.treasury.tas.gov.au/budget-and-financial-management/guidelines-instructions-and-legislation/budget-guidelines/structured-infrastructure-investment-review-process-(siirp). (3) Under the Infrastructure Tasmania Project Assurance Framework, this business case will undergo independent, external, expert review prior to its submission to Government.
