  • Limited Tendering Direct Sourcing
The original contract was awarded to Intuit Technologies Pty Ltd. As this project would substantially refactor the code, it would not be feasible for Intuit to support a platform and code that is not developed by them. There would be significant technical complexity in introducing an additional vendor at this point, including: - the need to modify deployment and code management processes, as well as the standardisation of development methodologies to ensure interoperability. This would result in significant additional costs to Service Tasmania as this oversight and coordination could only feasibly be undertaken by Intuit Technologies Pty Ltd (these skills and resources are not available in-house). -a significant burden on Service Tasmania technical staff to service multiple vendors in the context of project management, design and end user testing.
