The purpose of this contract is to deliver upgrades to the Tasman Highway (A0113) and Coles Bay Road.

The works are located on the sections between Lynes Creek, South of the Coles Bay junction and Bicheno, and a back-to-back S-Bend north of the Glen Gala overtaking lanes.

These works are part of the Great Eastern Drive Tourism Support Program which serves to provide upgrades to this high priority section on the east coast of Tasmania.

The Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme It is a requirement of this project that the builder/s contracted to undertake the building work be accredited under the Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme, established under the Federal Safety Commissioner Act 2022, at the time of entering into the contract for the building work and while the building work is being carried out.* The builder/s must comply with all conditions of Scheme accreditation. * Paragraph 26(g) of the Federal Safety Commissioner (Accreditation Scheme) Amendment Rules 2023 outlines provisions applying to joint venture arrangements that include accredited and unaccredited builders.
