The Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas) is establishing a Farm Business Resilience program in Tasmania. The program will build the capacity of farmers to plan for and manage risks, including drought. A Tasmanian pilot program focussed on one agricultural sector is underway ahead of the rollout of the wider FBR program in Tasmania in the years 2022-23 and 2023-24. Similar pilots are underway in some other states.

The core elements of the Farm Business Resilience Program (FBR) are:

  • Learning and development;
  • Farm business planning; and,
  • Farm resilience benchmarking.

NRE Tas wishes to engage a consultant to advise on all aspects of the Tasmanian FBR program including but not limited to its content, structure and delivery mechanisms.

  • State-wide
