Tenders are invited from suitably qualified providers to expand or design, construct and operate a Bulk-billing General Practice in Bridport, servicing the broader region. Building on a successful Expression of Interest process, this Request for Tenders forms the next stage in delivering the Government’s 100‑day commitment to improved healthcare access.

The successful respondent will demonstrate the capability and capacity to deliver high-quality services aligned with community needs.

  • • The tenderer must acknowledge it is their legal responsibility to maintain ongoing compliance with the Commonwealth Health Insurance Act 1973, including Section 19(2) which prohibits the payment of Medicare benefits where other government funding is provided for, or in some way assists, the medical service(s) provided. It is recommended proponents seek their own advice in relation to Section 19(2) from the Commonwealth Department of Health at 132 150.
  • • The tenderer must be an accredited General Practice or demonstrate the ability to be an accredited general practice within 18 months of acceptance of the tender by the principal.
