Youth Bail Support Model provides a service to children, young people and their families to support children and young people on bail in Tasmania. Support includes:

• Attendance to and at court.
• Understanding the underlying drivers of offending and wellbeing needs of the child or young person to assess and respond appropriately.
• Listening to the voices of children, young people and their families to provide them with the confidence and skills to meet their needs and reduce their offending behaviour.
• Referral to service providers to meet the identified needs of the child or young person.
• Working collaboratively with services across the Youth Justice continuum.

The outcomes of service delivery are to:

• Divert children and young people away from further involvement with the Youth Justice System.
• Address the underlying drivers of offending by working with children, young people and families to meet their wellbeing needs.
