The intent of this procurement process is to establish a panel of suitably qualified and experienced professional service consultants for use by state and local government agencies in supporting community response and recovery from large-scale disasters that exceed usual resources. It focuses on mitigating impacts and reducing long-term consequences of various triggering events. The development of the panel is an initiative funded under the Australian Government Disaster Ready Fund.
