The Tasmanian Government is establishing a Home Warranty Insurance Scheme in Tasmania. As part of the establishment, the Department of Treasury and Finance is undertaking a Request for Tender process which seeks to engage an Australian Prudential Regulation Authority authorised insurer to provide home warranty insurance policies, along with related services, in Tasmania. 


  • State-wide

  • 1. The Tenderer must be authorised, under the Insurance Act 1973 (Cth), to carry on an insurance business, within the meaning of that Act.
  • 2. The Tenderer must have an Australian Financial Services Licence issued pursuant to the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

  • From 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2030
  • From 01/01/2031 to 31/12/2034
