The Department of Justice invites suitably qualified Facilities Maintenance Contractors to tender for the maintenance of the following assets for a period of 5 years, with the possibility of two x 12 month extensions:

  • Risdon Prison Complex (RPC), including the Southern Remand Centre (SRC)
  • Mary Hutchinson Women’s Prison (MHWP)
  • Wilfred Lopes Centre (WLC).

  • Only Contractors or Consultants prequalified with the Department of Treasury and Finance Prequalification Scheme are eligible to tender. Tenderers must be prequalified above the financial limit specified, or to a value equal to or greater than the tendered price.

  • A pre-tender briefing session will be held on Wednesday 8 February 2023 at 8:30am at the Government Offices, 30 Gordons Hill Road, Rosny Park followed by Premises inspections at the Risdon Prison site, 672 East Derwent Highway, Risdon Vale commencing at 10:30am. Allow at least 6 hours for the pre-tender briefing and Premises inspections.
  • Registration for the pre-tender briefing session and Premises inspections will be via email at siap@justice.tas.gov.au. The number of attendees will be limited to two per organisation. Registrations will close at 3:00pm on Friday, 3 February, 2023.
  • Tenderers wishing to attend the Premises inspections will be required to submit a visitor application no later than 3:00pm on Friday, 3 February 2023 and provide current photo identification on the day.
