The Department of Police and Emergency Management are seeking Expressions of Interest from suppliers or manufacturers to supply a Multiuse Integrated Protection Vest (MIPV). This vest will be compulsory for all operational members and will supersede the current issue of Load Bearing Vests (LBVs) and Ballistic Vests in circulation. The vest will provide full-time coverage for ballistic and spike protection whilst the member is on duty and have load carriage capabilities.
