The Department of Economic Development, on behalf of the Tasmanian Government and the Tasmanian Ports Corporation Pty Ltd, invites expressions of interest from private sector parties to design, build, finance, lease, operate and maintain new ferry infrastructure and associated facilities in Sullivans Cove on Hobart’s waterfront. The current ferry infrastructure at Brooke Street Pier has a limited future life and requires replacement. The Government is seeking innovative approaches from the private sector that will provide an improved ferry terminal and vessel landing facilities. Commercial development opportunities may also exist within the project location beyond the requirements of the pier infrastructure as a result of the redevelopment.
