Expressions of interest are invited from training organisations that wish to be considered for inclusion on a register of skills development providers, to be available to deliver training funded by the Environmental Tourism Training and Employment Program. It is expected that the Environmental Tourism Skills Development Provider Register will be in operation from June 2003 until November 2004. Training organisations listed as potential providers on the Environmental Tourism Skills Development Provider Register may be invited to deliver nationally recognised training to the nature based and cultural heritage sectors of the tourism industry in Tasmania. The Environmental Tourism Training and Employment Program is funded by the Commonwealth Government and managed by the Office of Post-Compulsory Education and Training, Department of Education. The Program offers a range of skill development and training opportunities to operators, employees and those who wish to enter the nature based and cultural heritage sectors of the tourism industry in Tasmania.
