This procurement is a covered procurement and is therefore subject to the provisions of one, or several of the Free Trade Agreements listed at the bottom of this page.

The procuring entity reserves the right to conduct negotiations with tenderers during this procurement process.

The Works involve:

  • Replacing the existing Cam River Bridge with a new bridge structure to cater for heavier vehicles;
  • Demolition of the existing bridge; and
  • Upgrading the Bass Highway intersection with Murchison Highway to a signalisation intersection, to improve heavy vehicle access to the Bass Highway.

  • 1. COMPLIANCE WITH THE CODE FOR THE TENDERING AND PERFORMANCE OF BUILDING WORK 2016
  • The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 applies to the building work associated with this project. By submitting a tender for this project, you will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.
  • 2. THE WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY ACCREDITATION SCHEME
  • It is a requirement of this project that the builder/s contracted to undertake the building work be accredited under the Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme, established under the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016, at the time of entering into the contract for the building work and while the building work is being carried out.*
  • The builder/s must comply with all conditions of Scheme accreditation.
  • * Paragraph 26(g) of the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) (Accreditation Scheme) Rules 2019 outlines provisions applying to joint venture arrangements that include accredited and unaccredited builders.
  • Roads and Bridges
  • Only Contractors prequalified with the Department of State Growth under the National Prequalification System for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts in the Bridgeworks Category B3 (Primary Category) and Roadworks Category R3 (Secondary Category) with a Financial Level of F10, or higher, are eligible to tender for this project.
