Tenders will be invited for the development and implementation of an Online Housing Portal for Tasmanians seeking housing assistance and support. The Portal will provide the Tasmanian community with easy access to information and advice about housing and homelessness services available in Tasmania. It will allow existing Housing Connect clients the option to directly access, manage and update their own information, determine eligibility for housing products and submit applications for these if eligible. It will support, not replace, the existing Housing Connect physical office locations and 1800 number. The Portal will be developed using agile processes and will be developed in consultation with end users. It will be a front end solution that connects into an existing client management system (Specialist Homelessness Information Platform) through a web interface The Portal will be safe to use, secure and will protect the privacy and rights of those who use it.
